The Challenge
This Chandler homeowner was ready to move on from their builder-grade kitchen. Honey oak raised-panel cabinets had served the family well, but the overall look no longer matched how they wanted to live. The layout itself was fine — it just needed a complete aesthetic overhaul. Their goal was a modern farmhouse feel with warmth and character, not the stark all-white kitchens that can feel cold and sterile.

Our Solution
We designed the renovation around Sollid Cabinetry’s Aspen door in Perfect Brown — a warm maple shaker that hits exactly the right note between farmhouse charm and contemporary function. It’s not too dark, not too light, and the grain adds visual interest that painted cabinets simply can’t replicate.
The showstopper is the large white farmhouse apron front sink paired with a matte black gooseneck faucet. It’s the kind of detail that makes people stop when they walk into the kitchen for the first time.
The quartz countertops with subtle veining extend seamlessly up the wall as a backsplash and wrap around the island as a waterfall edge — creating a cohesive, easy-to-maintain surface that looks custom without the custom price tag. Matte black cabinet hardware throughout ties the whole design together and gives the space a finished, intentional feel.
Travis’s tile work completed the transformation with wood-look porcelain flooring, replacing the old surface with something that handles Arizona heat, spills, and heavy foot traffic without complaint.
The Results
The homeowners now have a kitchen that feels completely transformed while keeping the warmth and livability they wanted. The maple cabinets bring durability and timeless appeal, and the farmhouse sink has already become the family’s most-used feature — from washing produce to giving the dog a bath.
